LAS VEGAS – Jonas Blixt was given a second card consecutive 64 (7 under) Friday to share control of the Open Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children along with Brendon de Jonge.
De Jonge shot a 66 after starting the tournament with a round of 62 on Thursday. He thus joined Blixt to 128 (least-14), after two rounds played in ideal conditions during the first round of the PGA Fall.
Blixt, a Swede, and de Jonge, a Zimbabwean, have never triumphed on the PGA Tour.
Ryan Moore, former player at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas who tied the course record at TPC Summerlin on Thursday leaving a card of 61, shows a shot behind after his round of 68. Daniel Summerhays and Tim Herron are less-11. Summerhays played 63 and Herron finished the course in 68 strokes. Read more »
