TOKYO – Milos Raonic qualified for the semifinals of the Japan Open on Friday with a gain of 6-7 (5), 6-2, 7-6 (7) at the expense of Serbian Janko Tipsarevic.
Serving for the match, Ontarians went to his 24th ace to eliminate third-seeded after two hours and 43 minutes. Raonic also keeps his chances of qualifying for the ATP Finals in London next month.
In his last two visits to Tokyo, Canadian 21 years was eliminated in the second round by Rafael Nadal.
