David Ferrer keeps piling up victories. The high level of play of the Spanish player that has lasted many months still giving dividends in the form of titles as he has won on Sunday in Buenos Aires where he was awarded the second consecutive Copa Claro. This is the second title of the year for Alicante already conquered Auckland earlier this year and now travels to Acapulco to play another tournament of land with a very interesting picture.
Stanislas Wawrinka was the only non-Spanish player who got into the semifinals and final to face Ferrer planted especially in the second set when Spanish was very warm with their services. Finally in the last Ferrer dropped his resistance and closed the match with a score of 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 revalidating the title, something that had not happened since Guillermo Vilas did, and raising to five consecutive titles the Armada conquest in Buenos Aires.
Raise the winning streak for the Spanish tennis was not a path of roses for Wawrinka who is exhibiting a good level of tennis at the start of campaign and created enough problems to Ferrer in the first two sets.
