The world number one Rafa Nadal took an agonizing victory against Cuenca Pablo Andujar in straight sets with a long tie in the third to reach his third final in as many tournaments played in the season.
Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov avoided the Spanish end expected to beat the Alicante David Ferrer – seeded second – in straight sets and will play for the first time a final with Rafa on Sunday.

If yesterday the two visiting teams won in today, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich, as visitors, have not been less than Barcelona and PSG. Both have won their matches, one in Milan, one in London, and therefore have a very important step to sneak into the next round of the Champions League, that is, the quarter-finals.

The Champions League is back! After several months of slowdown the continental showpiece is back in action with the dispute of the second round qualifiers. As in recent years, these qualifiers are divided into 4 different weeks so we will have 8 nights of Champions League with two games each.
Spanish soccer scored in the second round at Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, but only the latter two come into play this week. The Catalans travel to Manchester to take on the City Tuesday (20:45 hours, La1) in one of the party’s star of the week. Meanwhile Atletico Madrid played Wednesday in Milan. Both the match Atletico as the other two a week (Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Leverkusen-PSG) may continue through Canal + Liga Champions.
When the draw for this round took place months ago the City was clear that everyone wanted to avoid. Finally went to the club so since we already knew that this was going to be one of the greatest knockouts in this round. A novel will end Sunday at the ABN AMRO Rotterdam and the Czech Tomas Berdych and Croatian Marin Cilic will face off for the title. Berdych beat smoothly Latvian Ernests Gulbis in straight sets while Cilic won his ninth consecutive victory from Zagreb to the Dutch Igor Sijsling in three sets.
First would be the third-seeded Berdych to jump on the court with all precautions before a Gulbis coming briskly after beating defending champion and top seed Juan Martin Del Potro. However the game went faster than expected since the Czech was solid with his service and his punches. Also capitalized on the break three times that generated. Gulbis on the contrary, unlike the match against Del Potro service was erratic and fell 6-3 6-2 in 66 minutes.
After the shift would be Marin Cilic who goes on in the last two weeks and despite losing the opening set to the local Sijsling 5-7 was becoming stronger with the service in the next two sets (only 2 points lost with the first serve between the second and third sets) and ended up running the game 6-3 6-2 in just under two hours totaling 15 aces. The defending champion ABN AMRO Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro saw his career at the tournament abrupt halt after being defeated by Latvian Ernests Gulbis in straight sets. The other big surprise was the fall of former champion and second seed Andy Murray against Marin Cilic. Meanwhile Czech Tomas Berdych rallied from a first set down to beat Polish Jerzy Janowicz.
Del Potro in their first two games and had been up and down this Friday against a powerful opponent on fast surfaces like Gulbis, these dilutions took their toll. Last year in eighth Argentine had won but this time the service gave no dividends. Especially with the second team which won just 6 points.
Across the network, Gulbis was the reverse of the medal. Hit 12 aces and reached 82% of first serve points. He saved the only break chance he faced in the second set and broke Del Potro once a manga to win 6-3 6-4 in 81 minutes. Read more »

Yesterday, Real Madrid got in the Cup final, today he has had to Barcelona become the other finalist. Barca team made good the controversial 2-0 first leg at the Nou Camp and has surpassed the Royal Society in this tie after the second leg played in Anoeta ended with 1 draw, after 90 minutes quite entertaining and good game.
Barcelona has made a party quite complete, of the best I have seen lately. Still, it has managed to achieve victory because opposite the Royal Society has proved also to be a great team, and it’s no coincidence that he got where it is today. Putting intensity until the end and thanks to its good out to counterattack, Arrasate’s at least tied the match.
And the score will be made difficult in the first half when Messi pounced on a poor clearance to José Ángel made the play of 0-1, a goal which came crying after the attempted stop Zubikarai.
