Rafa Nadal

Those who were used to celebrate victories and tell of Rafa Nadal one week every other well and we missed being able to write an article like this where we can say that Spanish has raised a new ATP title. This is the Brazil Open Final which was played in Sao Paulo and in which Nadal won the championship after defeating in the final to David Nalbandian.

Nadal played a game in which he suffered some ups and downs especially in the beginning of the second set but that was imposed by solvency David Nalbandian 6-2, 6-3. Argentine tennis player and is far from his best but it was another good test for Nadal that these weeks are recovering feelings and now travel to Acapulco to play the ATP 500 Mexican city where rivals may meet more cache as David Ferrer, Juan Monaco Nico Almagro or continue measuring your fitness.

Rafa Nadal

The Spanish tennis player had a pretty serious game start although we still see him with the mobility of its best moments. Nadal took the first moment of weakness Nalbandian to get the first break of the match that he had wandered before. It was in the sixth game in which the Argentine conceded three break points after rather deep traces of Spanish were successful because Nadal got to 4-2.

In the next serve Nadal extended his distance and when it seemed that would Nalbandian 5-3, committed a double fault and unexpectedly gave birth to Nadal who scored the set without having to wait for his serve was what we all expected. From that moment came the worst moments of Spanish that began the second set with a 3-0 deficit after displaying a drop in concentration that led to many errors.

The set was already very difficult for Rafa but then came his reaction to form winning six consecutive games that gave the party. Perhaps the key was in his usual faith and playing pretty well when I was with 3-2 deep down where several parallel given three breaking balls. Nalbandian saved the first two with one left and one ace but sent to the network with the next ball to the score was 3-3.

Losing that advantage was a severe moral blow to the Argentine who increased their mistakes and lost concentration before a connecting several Nadal hit winners with those who stayed with the match and the title.

After the tournament Nadal reassess the state of his knees and will travel to Mexico to face his next appointment. There will be high level opponents that will test his knee and his tennis before making a decision as important as what to do in the next few months of the season because they reach more hard court Masters 1000 with the world’s best and worst surface for Rafa and his knees.
