The team Yakhnich Motorsport Team has worked to the maximum in the Jerez circuit to tune their machines for next year’s World Supersport and Superstock 600 Championship, being the protagonists Vladimir Leonov pilots, Sam Lowes and Dakota Mamola. Pilots Leonov and Lowes have focused on various targets in this test and both have known and been able to talk and initiate contacts between them.
To Leonov work has focused on the development of the new engine and suspension settings, while Lowes has had his first contact with the Yamaha R6 after having ridden a Honda CBR the last four years, therefore a change and adaptation for both drivers, so some days very positive for them and for the team, but the rain showed up and leave half the work of all.
While Mamola will be the man of the team fight in the STK category 600, testing the new engine in the Andalusian track and although he could not give many turns left with a good feeling of the machine.
Sam Lowes Statements:
I really wanted to try the new bike after a long stay in Honda. Now that I have proven the potential of R6 more desire I have yet to start the season.
The riding style is different, but I understand from the outset even in rain.
Unfortunately we accompanied the weather. I’m glad the results, as all new components have responded and now we have a lot of information to analyze before returning to the slopes in the next tests.
