Cup 2012-2013: Surprises in San Mames and Balaidos

A night that has not happened in all fields so the script had preset. So they lived in San Mames surprise of the night, as the Eibar been removed at Athletic Bilbao, and Balaidos, to a lesser extent, experienced a new surprise, as Celta Vigo has overtaken Real Madrid.

Athletic Eibar

And in all honesty, and not wanting to miss the Galician fans, I think very few thought that Real Madrid would stumble in Vigo. But just after a game has been pretty bad for whites, and could have been worse because the scoring for the home side became 2-0, with goals from Bermejo and Bustos. In the end, Cristiano Ronaldo appeared and left the score at 2-1, best result for a poor Madrid in Vigo.

But let’s San Mames which is where has lived the big surprise of the night, eliminating Athletic. The Bielsa have fallen into the hands of Eibar, the only team in Segunda B which follows later in the competition, to tie it at 1 in Bilbao, and after 0-0 of the first leg. Thus, the Eibar passes the second round, where they will face at Malaga, and enlarges the crisis facing the team right now of Bilbao.

Otherwise, there were no surprises and clearer bets won and also so that practically no longer made for the return duties. For example, the 0-2 that brings Barcelona to Cordoba, thanks to two more goals from Leo Messi, very close to those of Tito Vilanova to the next round. I got the same result at home to Valencia Osasuna, in a match that was played on Tuesday night.

More striking were the markers for Atletico Madrid and Sevilla, so their return matches can be mere formality. The Atletico won 3-0 to neighbors Getafe, with a brace from Diego Costa, while Sevilla won by 0-5 at Mallorca. The vermilion box seems to have finally bottomed out, so the dismissal or resignation of Joaquin Caparros seems imminent.
